Starting of week 1 strong, my team consisted of 3 FX artists (Max Jokinen, Gracie Szymanski, Cae Parkhill) and 1 lookdev/lighting artist (Noelle Robertson). We started working on our idea, and decided to create an advertisement for OURA rings, a smart ring used to track body vitals.
Our first plan was to collect a lot of references from both Oura's advertisements/website, as well as to utilize AI tools like Gemini to create concept art. We tried a method that proved really efficient, which was to submit a drawing or clay render, and tell the AI to basically add textures to it. It was an easy way to concept without having to mess with lighting/textures.
Below are some images I generated, and the text below every image is the prompt submitted to Gemini.

We each made storyboards and iterated until we were all in agreement, and then I drew the final storyboards. As I'll be in charge of animating the camera, I could combine everyone's boards and incorporate the camera moves so that everything looks cohesive.

I proceeded to make the previs, incorporating the storyboards, references (both generated and found), and FX tests the team made for their respective shots.
Here's some other concept work I created in Maya!
